HIPH - programme/mission

The HIPH activities comprise:

  1. rendering services to member companies, in the field of issues important to their business, through:
    1. information exchange,
    2. discussion forum,
    3. organisation of conditions for cooperation improvement,
  2. representing interest of member companies against central and regional authorities in the field of matters, for which the parties expressed their will, through:
    1. preparing and presenting the position on behalf of the whole sector,
    2. issuing opinions on new and amended legislation affecting the steel and cooperating industries,
    3. lobbying,
  3. activities in the field of public relations and of steel promotion as a material,
  4. undertaking and carrying out international cooperation with the International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI), European Federation of Iron and Steel Producers (EUROFER), European Federation of Tubes Producers (ESTA) and national associations directly and via:
    1. working groups,
    2. conferences,
    3. occasional meetings,
  5. information-training and publishing activities in the area of problems connected with:
    1. technology,
    2. regulations on steel products trade,
    3. environmental protection,
    4. social issues,
    5. other Community and national legislation affecting the sector.

The Chamber has necessary instruments and human resources to cope with the aforementioned tasks.

The HIPH is a non-profit self-government organisation; in its activities, it cares only of the interest of the steel sector and cooperating industries.
